Whether you are just starting out in marketing, already mid-level, or returning from your sabbatical in the Falkland Islands where you studied the King Penguin, one of the coolest flightless birds, we are looking for someone who is the right fit – in both cultural style and professional skill set. Your Tasks Events. All things events. Meeting with clients (Both internal SRS colleagues & Clients of the firm) to discuss their needs, create and maintain partnerships with vendors of all sorts, oversee the set-up, execution, and wrap-up of each event, researching/scouting locations, creating and negotiating contracts, and overall organization. Essentially, you will do what it takes to pull off a stellar event. At this point you are probably asking yourself “Hey Sandra, What kinds of events would I be orchestrating?” Great question. And the answers is… DRUM ROLL PLEASE…. all kinds. As part of the already dynamic, super cool, and fun SRS Marketing Team, you will coordinate staff meetings that take place in different locations throughout the United States and Europe. SRS clients will depend on you to pull together board meetings for directors and shareholders. And conferences – do not forget conferences. SRS shows up at conferences and we show up BIG - securing the exhibit space, organizing the booth set-up, and themes. You will enjoy traveling to all of the different locations around the globe and being able to talk about all things captive insurance, including helping your colleagues to feel at ease in the trade show booth. It is all part of the Events Package provided to SRS colleagues and clients by the SRS Marketing Team. The key for us is that your events grab attention like a driver going the wrong way on a one-way street. Diligence and following processes is necessary so you will get to exercise both sides of your brain. You will collaborate with the other people on the marketing team to generate copy and design as well as with our awesome account teams to ensure they have what they need for a successful event. In some cases (let’s be honest – in most cases) they may not know what they need. So, it is up to you to market yourself as a dependable, honest, team player to win their trust and time as they are busy assisting our clients. You must be confident, comfortable, and the kind able to get them to help you as they are the subject matter experts when it comes to all things Captive Insurance (do not worry – we will explain that). Your Profile You are a bit nerdy when it comes to process but like to be creative too. Former colleagues would describe you as a respected professional who is loyal to the team and motivated to do well simply because you want to. You like to dabble in new media technologies and keep yourself up to date on the latest internet craze. You are organized to the point that nothing falls through the cracks – regardless of the idea or suggestion – nothing gets past you. We also need you to be able to hob nob with world leaders. Our team is a motley collection of talented people from many different countries. Many of our events take place in Europe, as well as the U.S. Whether a request comes in from Arizona, Vermont, Guernsey, Switzerland, or any of our other locations, we jump on it. But do not fret, no foreign language skills are required (and we will explain where Guernsey is on the map too). We Offer Whether you prefer a coffee shop, your dining room table, or sitting in a park with a hotspot, work wherever you feel productive. You will have more access to team celebrations if you are in the Boston area, but the work can really be done from anywhere in the US. Leave some time in the mornings to coordinate with the marketing manager and get your creative juices flowing.
