Practice Area: Litigation - Commercial, Job Type: Partner, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 5 Years, A law firm is seeking a Senior Commercial Litigation Partner for their New York City, NY office. The Senior Commercial Litigation Partner will be responsible for handling commercial litigation matters with a focus on the commercial division. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in pleading, motion practice, discovery, and some transactional experience. Additionally, the candidate must have a portable book of business of at least $400. Duties:Handle commercial litigation matters in the commercial divisionConduct pleadings, motion practice, and discoveryUtilize transactional experience as neededManage and maintain a portable book of businessProvide strategic legal advice to clientsRepresent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedingsMentor junior attorneys and provide guidance on complex legal matters Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the Bar in New York5-8 years of experience in commercial litigationExtensive experience in pleading, motion practice, and discoverySome transactional experience preferredPortable book of business of at least $400 Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school Certifications:Admission to the Bar in New York Skills:Strong litigation skills with a focus on commercial mattersExcellent communication and negotiation skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamBusiness development and client management skillsLeadership and mentorship abilities
