Ground Missile Defense (GMD) is the heart of the Missile Defense System and a key element of our nation's defense against ballistic missile attacks. The GMD Weapon System (GWS) processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat. The Work As a PMP/Component Associate Engineer you will support the GWS Architecture and Delivery (A&D) team on tasks as an individual contributor that include learning and performing the development of Bill-of-Materials (BOM), new part requests, part objects, and part attributes in a Product Lifecycle Management System, along with other assigned duties. A level 1 employee is typically early-career and has 0 to 1 years of professional experience. #rmshotmiljobsGMDLI0324 Basic Qualifications: * Active Interim Secret Clearance and U.S. Citizenship* Bachelors of Science Degree in related STEM degree and related experience* Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)* Familiar with the selection and application of EEEE components* Working knowledge of engineering drawings, BOMs and maintenance parts lists* Experience with reading and understanding technical data (e.g., Technical Orders, Engineering Drawings, Parts Lists, Bills of Material, Engineering Specifications, etc.)* Must be able to support an in-office / closed-area work environment full time.* Ability to communicate data in a clear and concise manner. Desired Skills: * Familiarity in parts, materials and process selection, manufacturing support, failure analysis, and processing of materials for space hardware* Familiarity with quality systems, component DMS, ESD, ROHS and Material Review Board concepts.* Technical skills in DMSMS and Obsolescence* Experience in corrosion prevention and control, and in the selection of materials and surface finishes for military applications. * Understanding of military electronics reliability requirements, familiarity with EEE components, printed wiring board, components, connectors, and electrical grounding, bonding, and shielding concepts as well as processes such as soldering, bonding, coating, machining, plating, painting, welding, and brazing.* Experience in Agile Development* Experience evaluating commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) parts for compliance. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
