CLA Commercial Cleaning is looking for a motivated and reliable Housekeeping Supervisor who will be responsible for ensuring all guest rooms and surroundings are clean and in good repair. You simply must love hospitality and being around some of the most interesting people in New York City on a daily basis. The Housekeeping Supervisor must be able to maintain an inventory of all supplies needed to supply the housekeeping department while maintaining par levels and keeping up with orders. They must be detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks, as well as take ownership of and resolve problems or concerns of the team and guests. To be a successful Housekeeping Supervisor they must be reliable, organized, self-directed, and able to make decisions with minimal direction. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and anticipate guest needs and preferences while providing guidance to all team members on a daily basis. The Housekeeping Supervisor will also be responsible for maintaining training support and all materials needed to complete their daily assignments. Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities • Interface with all employees assigned to your hotel• Inspect employee’s performance and give feedback• Motivate, inspire, and encourage the team to perform to their very best abilities• Praise and coach consistently with all team members• Coach, counsel and take disciplinary action, if necessary, in accordance with company practices• Coordinate staff needs and changes with Star’s leadership team• Address changes in staff schedules and replace absences• Train and coordinate training of employees• Monitor the uniform program and ensure employees have the necessary garments• Provide feedback to Star on the staff and hotel operations Key Experiences & Qualifications • Experience in housekeeping, preferably in hotels• Supervisory experience preferred but not required• Excellent communication skills• Outstanding organizational skills• Very strong time management skills Qualifications: • 1+ years as a professional housekeeper or similar position• Experience with a variety of cleaning products and techniques• Impeccable work ethic and excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills Compensation: $19 - $25 hourly About Company: CLA Commercial Cleaning is seeking Porters with a passion for excellence and great enthusiasm in providing exceptional service standards.
